CLIN CHECK PLUS
ANALYSER FOR BASIC CLINICAL CHEMISTRY
Clin Check Plus is an interferential filter photometer, designed for a precise and fast execution of the most important tests of Clinical Chemistry and Hematology.
The Clin Check Plus has 40 programs:
- 01 -26: programs are already set for the determination of the analytes mentioned above;
- 27- 30: the last four are open which means that new analyses can be introduced in them.
- 31- 40: Multistandard.
However, all the programs can be modified, except for WBCH and WBTR, (Cholesterol and Triglyceride Tests on whole blood) due to technical reasons.
All Clinical tests must be performed on serum except for Cholesterol, Glucose and Triglycerides Tests, which can also be performed on whole blood, using 10 µl of blood obtained, for example, by pricking a finger.
Three Hematological parameters can be also be determined: Erythrocytes, Hematocrit and Hemoglobin. Each test requires only 5 µl of whole blood.
Multistandard test up to 7 standard. Standard value and concentrations are stored in non volatile memory.
The execution of the analyses and programming the instrument are simple and guided by the instructions shown on the display. It is possible to select a language among German, Italian, French, English.
The light source of Clin Check Plus is a 2 W tungsten lamp: this enables the instrument to read in the UV range too. 5 interferential filters are incorporated: the proper wavelength of the Test is automatically selected by microprocessors. Iit is possible to add a sixth filter, upon request.
The instrument has a 2-position Dry Block Incubator at 37° C ; the Reading compartment is also at 37° C to ensure a constant temperature during the Reaction Time. The thermostat turns on automatically when the instrument is switched on.
It is possible to connect the Clin Check Plus to a serial printer or to a computer for Data Elaboration.
All Clin Check Plus instruments are subjected to complete Quality Control: electrical, photometric, clinical and chemical controls by the manufacturer himself.
Comparing various Clin Check Plus, you will note that the K-factor for the Erythrocytes test is different between different instruments. The K-factor for Hematocrit test varies also. The K-factors for the other tests remain the same in all instruments. This is because Erythrocytes and Hematocrit are determined turbidimetrically by means of the diffused beam at 90° ; the intensity of such a beam can vary in a sensible way, depending on the optical parts of each single instrument. Therefore, each single Clin Check Plus is calibrated in our laboratories to guarantee a higher precision in the results. The other analytes are determined by a colourimetric reaction according to the Lambert-Beer Law.
The K-factors of Erythrocytes and Hematocrit tests are indicated on a label at the back of each instrument.
