Description

The Ellavi UBT has been designed with extensive input from national and global maternal health experts. It meets a critical need for an improved and affordable uterine balloon tamponade device to manage uncontrolled PPH and will be the first low cost UBT developed and commercialized for use in low and middle income countries.

The Ellavi is a fully assembled system with a gravity-fed filling mechanism that makes it easier and faster to use. It is designed to conform to the shape of the uterus and applies optimal pressure to stop bleeding. When the atonic uterus regains its ability to contract, the ‘open system’ of the compressible Sinapi balloon allows it to adjust without resistance.
